HISTORICAL REVIEW OF THE INSTITUTION

The Educational Institution Nuestra señora de Fatima of Ibagué was founded by Sister Rosa Gonzaga on the initiative of Mother San Luis, on September 17, 1962 and March 18, 1965, through decree 181 emanated from the governorship of Tolima, it was officially created as a rural school Social Welfare. The administrative process was initiated by Sister Rosa Gonzaga, being replaced by Sister Marina; Subsequently, the Secretary of Education appointed as rector Ms. Julieta Bonilla Rengifo, who remained in office until 1995, achieving excellent results during her administration. In his replacement, Simeón Florido, the specialist, was appointed, who held the position for one year. In the year of 1997 the National Police through the Area of Education assigned to the Lieutenant Emiliana Vargas Ramírez, which was replaced in the year of 1,999 by Lieutenant Luz Mery Córdoba Reyes, who was replaced at the end of the year 2000 by the Lieutenant Eliana Gualacó Calderón and in the middle of the year 2001 the Directorate of Social Welfare appointed Captain José Rafael Capacho Gómez as rector until the middle of 2004 when Mrs. Capitán María Eugenia Contreras Bello was appointed, who held office until January 2007 and afterwards The Social Welfare Department appointed Captain Juan Pablo Blanco Sierra, who held the position until the middle of August 2010, date from which Lieutenant Edison Duque Valencia was appointed, who held that position until February 2016, being replaced by Mr. Lieutenant Francisco Javier Gutiérrez Gómez, who was rector of the NUSEFA Santa Marta school, for his experience in the educational levels and the orientation of the personnel assumed the direction of the School Our Lady of Fátima de Ibagué, following the policies of institutional control in the actulidad.
