NUSEFISTA FOLKLORINE

The Nusefist folklore takes place every year in order to encourage the students of the institution to cultivate teamwork and promote the culture of different regions of the country.

The folklorito was a very commented event, since there were different activities, it was possible to know the dances of the different candidates and most importantly, that all the students could enjoy this wonderful day in the company of their relatives and companion.

Next, the history of one of Colombia's important festivities will be revealed:

One of the most recognized and important cultural events in Colombia is the Folkloric Festival that takes place every year in this capital, in the month of June, between the festivities of San Juan and San Pedro.

The Folkloric Festival of Ibagué was born in 1959, as a cultural proposal, with the purpose of stimulating those traditional autochthonous and cultural values of the city and highlighting its authentic musical character.

Nowadays, the Folkloric Festival is the oldest and most representative cultural activity developed in the department of Tolima and Colombia, in terms of music and folklore with 44 years of history.

Among the highlights of this important festival stand out the election and coronation of the national queen of folklore performed in the acoustic shell of the city and where each of the candidates shows a small part of the folklore of each of its departments either with dancing, singing or playing an instrument native to their respective region. Another outstanding activity is the Festival of Festivals that is carried out in the same way in the acoustic shell and consists in that each one of the departments sends a delegation that makes a representation of the culture of the department, also the fantasy night is realized in which the traditional gunpowder burning is done in the stadium of the city. It should be noted that before the election of the queen, the National Folklore parade takes place during the morning, where each of the queens presents themselves with their respective float and dance delegation.
